At
the bottom station, two pulleys, the one in the backgroung
is fixed on a trolley driven by hydraulic jacks to regulate
the tension of the cable.
Note that the cable is turned to the ceiling and pass through
a slot to a room located above the station. This room is
the engine room.

The
engine room located above the bottom station.
The blue engine and its engine brake which is a thick
disk brake.
The
red gear unit (built by Flender) which role is to reduce
the rotational velocity of the engine.
In the background, the main (yellow) pulley which sides
are used as a disk for the two (red) brakes.
The
yellow/blue flexible coupling between the gear unit (right)
and the main pulley (left).
