Mürren is a car free village located on a natural balcony beside the famous Berner Oberland summits: Eiger 3970m, Mönch 4107m, Jungfrau 4158m.

To access Mürren you must take, from Lauterbrunnen, the funicular to Grütsch and then the lovely small Mürren train .

Allmendhubel is a small summit above Mürren, since 1912 there is a small funicular which brings the skiers or hikers to the top. The last part of the line is in a tunnel.

In 1999, the old red cars were replaced with new panoramic cars.
